BTS Confirm “NORMAL” Music Video After the Mysterious LAMRON Rollout
BTS have officially confirmed the release of the “NORMAL” music video, bringing one of the most mysterious promotional rollouts of the ARIRANG era into focus.

The announcement confirms that the video will premiere first on Spotify on July 17, 2026, at 1 PM KST. It will then be released through HYBE LABELS on July 19 at 1 PM KST, allowing the wider global audience to watch the visual through YouTube.

The confirmation follows several days of clues built around the word “LAMRON”—“NORMAL” written backwards. BTS changed their official profile imagery, the members added LAMRON references to their social-media bios, and the group published a filmstrip-style teaser titled “LAMRON: The Reel.”

The campaign later expanded beyond social media through fake tabloid-style newspaper advertisements reportedly appearing in publications including the San Francisco Chronicle and New York Post. The advertisements showed all seven members together in an intentionally strange late-night bathroom scene, while repeatedly hinting that something about the situation was not entirely “normal.”

The rollout perfectly matches the song’s central tension. “NORMAL,” from BTS’s fifth studio album ARIRANG, reflects on how fame, pressure, attention, exhaustion and life in the public eye can become part of an artist’s everyday reality. The promotional campaign plays with that same idea by turning a deliberately ordinary setting into worldwide breaking news.

Rather than announcing the video through a simple release poster, BTS created a mystery for ARMY to decode. Profile changes, backwards text, newspaper clues, strange photographs and carefully timed updates transformed the announcement into a complete story before the music video had even arrived.

For ARMY, the rollout also confirms that the ARIRANG era is continuing to expand after “SWIM,” the world tour and the group’s full seven-member return. “NORMAL” is not being treated as a quiet album track anymore—it is officially entering its own visual era.

Official Release Schedule

ARMY Note

The smartest part of this rollout is that BTS made the internet question what “normal” even means.

Seven members in one strange photograph became a headline. A backwards word became a global theory. An album track became a mystery spread across newspapers, social profiles and fan timelines.

And now the answer is finally here:

LAMRON was NORMAL all along.
