Lachimolala Explained: The Run BTS Moment ARMY Will Never Forget
There are BTS moments.
There are iconic BTS moments.
And then there is:
LACHIMOLALA.
The word comes from Run BTS! Episode 41, released in February 2018.
During a game similar to the telephone/whisper challenge, the members had to pass a word down the line while struggling to correctly understand what the previous person was saying.
The original word?
Carbonara.
Easy enough.
Except this is Run BTS.
By the time the word reached Jimin, what came out was approximately:
“Lachimolala.”
A completely invented word.
No dictionary.
No culinary meaning.
Just Park Jimin doing his very best 😭.
Then comes the part that turned an already funny moment into genuine ARMY legend:
Jin eventually worked out that the answer was carbonara anyway.
HOW?
ARMY is still asking.
This is why you will randomly see people write:
Lachimolala 🍝
with absolutely no further explanation.
Longtime ARMY does not need one.
